Going to try and keep this short as I do not want to write a really long story.
I first met Alex online. I thought she was a nice girl and what stuck out is that she is a Lutheran. I thought she was from the mid west, but after having trouble finding the right one, I simply messaged her. She did not respond right away and I was ready to find another girl but she responded. I ended up talking to her and she seemed like a nice woman. Everybody was excited to find out that she was going to meet me. From taking the bus everywhere (spoiler alert: San Diego's public transit system is quite vast and takes forever to get to where you need to go) to being able to drive her all around San Diego
We ended up doing a couple of dates and I felt like she was the one for me. Alex was more reserved but we ended up a couple. Her aunt Sharon thought we were good friends but later on she recognized our relationship. Alex even came to my graduation at CSUSM which was nice.
She has been with me through thick and thin times, including the times when my Grandmother died and we went to MN for the funeral but also the time when my mom died. It was a sad day for all of us but I don't think I could have done it without Alex my fiancee. I also accompanied her to her Grandma's 100 birthday party and her family seemed like nice people. I also got to explore Phoenix/Chandler/Gilbert area in AZ and went to my favorite Record store. One of the attendees at that party was asking when are we getting married, but I kind of just brushed that off.
What kicked this all off, was when my brother got married at Leo Carrillo Ranch. I saw this ring on Amazon and it looked beautiful but not expensive at all, so I bought it. Not only that my old brown Acura RDX (my moms old car) got rear ended by a modified FJ60 Toyota Land cruiser (ouch and I did walk from the crashed unharmed). Originally, I wanted to propose to her at UTC but ended doing it the day after. I did hint a few days earlier that she needed to bring some nicer clothes to wear, but she did not get the hint. We first had some good Ramen at Menya Ultra, then we went to Lake Poway. I was pretty nervous at the time. Then we walked around the park and sat on a bench overlooking the lake. We then got up and then I got on one knee on 11/20/2024 and proposed to her. All overlooking the beautiful Lake Poway. She was shocked at first and wanting to know when that ring came from and I said Amazon and she accepted it. I thought she was going to cry at first but she did not and we were both happy that this happened. We ended up going to Amazon Fresh afterwards and as they say the rest is history.
